Paul matriculated at King Edward VII High School in Johannesburg in 1981. He thereafter completed a BA LLB at Wits University.
After completion of his law degrees, he attended the University of Life for a number of years, traveling overseas and the like.
Upon returning to South Africa, he became a public prosecutor in the Jhb Magistrates Court where he was thrown in the deep end and survived for almost two years.
Thereafter, he commenced articles of clerkship at Routledge- McCallums, as they then were, where he qualified as an attorney and practiced, briefly, as an associate.
After always intending to practice one day as an advocate, he took some time off and traveled across the USA in a battered vehicle purchase from a used car dealer in Brooklyn. Having survived more than 5000miles, he called it a day and returned to SA.
After completing pupillage he took up practice as an advocate and member of the Johannesburg Bar in 1995. He is still practicing today.
He specialises in Labour matters, commercial arbitrations, civil litigation and company law with an emphasis on liquidation and business rescue issues.
