Linda Khumalo

Prior to joining the Bar, Linda served as a Legal Administration Officer in the South African Police Service (the SAPS) for 26 years of the 29 years of total service. When he left the SAPS, he was holding the rank of a Brigadier, which falls within the senior management echelon of the SAPS. Linda served in the Area, Provincial and National levels of the Legal Services Division of the SAPS.

The scope of work included civil litigation, arbitration, provision of legal advice to SAPS management and members on criminal investigation, advising SAPS management and employees in general on all operational and administrative matters, discipline management, as well as vetting and drafting of contracts and agreements.

Linda served as a Trustee in the Board of Trustees of the South African Police Service Medical Aid (Polmed) for 4 years.

QUALIFICATIONS

Linda holds a BJuris (1990), an LLB (1997) from the University of Zululand, and an LLM in Labour Law (2018) from the University of South Africa. In addition, Linda completed the Professional Legal Training (PLT) course at the University of Natal’s School of Law in 1998.

Furthermore, Linda holds a Certificate in Labour Dispute Resolution Practice from the Stellenbosch University which he completed in 2022.

Linda did pupillage in 2024 and joined the Bar in November 2025.
