Brahm du Plessis SC
Brahm joined the Johannesburg Bar in 1987, after doing an LLM at the London School of Economics and lecturing at the University of Cape Town. He took silk in 2011.
Brahm’s principal area of practice is Intellectual Property Law.
Brahm has served on the Bar Council and has been the chair of both the GCB’s and the JSA’s Human Rights committees. He has served as an acting judge of the High Court. He is a past chair of the Johannesburg Branch of the National Association of Democratic Lawyers and served as an independent non-executive director of Telkom SA Limited from 2004 to 2013. He was a founding member of the Community Dispute Resolution Trust and he is a panellist on the General Commercial Panel of the Arbitration Foundation of South Africa.
