Sarah Makutu

Adv. Funeka Mzilikazi is an Advocate of the High Court of South Africa and a member of the Johannesburg Society of Advocates, practising from the Island Group. She holds an LLB from the University of South Africa (2015), was admitted as an Attorney of the High Court in 2018, and admitted as an Advocate in 2020.

She maintains a principled commitment to fairness, transformation, and the rule of law. She currently serves as legal advisor to the Sondzaba Royal Family, where she advises on governance, customary law matters, and constitutional compliance, and advocates for equitable access to education and the strengthening of lawful governance structures.

Adv. Mzilikazi maintains a broad litigation practice spanning constitutional and administrative law, public procurement and regulatory disputes, complex commercial litigation involving organs of state, state liability matters, labour law, and disciplinary proceedings. She regularly appears in the High Court, Labour Court, arbitration forums, and disciplinary tribunals.
